Makasutu – A Sacred Forest
Makasutu (in Mandinka, Maka = Mecca = holy/sacred, Sutu = forest) is a 1,000 hectare forest in the West African country of Gambia.
Running along the Mandina bolong (creek) and crisscrossed with mangrove swamps, the forest is host to hundreds of birds and other wildlife.
Whether walking through the forest or riding in a native canoe along the bolongs, a deep sense of peace is felt.
Welcome to the peace and blessing of Spirit of Makasutu essences!
