This flower shouted at me to make an essence – there she was, one huge, perfect bloom on this shrub, dressed in glossy dark green foliage. No other hibiscus (and there were several shrubs on either side of this one) called my attention the way this one did. I asked her permission to make an essence, which was given, the placed the jar in the morning to get the full effect of the sun and the full moon, which was at its’ apex.
When I returned the next day, the flower was completely closed – it was as if the flower had given all it had to the essence, and her work was done. While the picture doesn’t do justice to the magnificence of this flower, I believe the strength of this essence is testimony to the energy she carried.
